I'm Meredith Silverman Battjer, a web designer, writer, and graduate of NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP).
Born and raised in Cleveland, I moved to Connecticut to attend Wesleyan University in 1998. A major in French piqued my interest in West Africa, where I spent my junior year abroad.
After graduating in 2002, I moved to New York City and began working in the nonprofit field. I have written for, designed, and managed several non-profit websites, including Episcopal Relief and Development and Meatless Monday.
While at ITP, and after graduating in 2008, I worked on the website for MTV/Nickelodeon’s teen network, The N. As an Associate Producer at The N, I created graphics and produce sponsorships, wrote articles and micro-content, produced sponsorships, and edited video and audio.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, listening to public radio, and creating websites for my friends.
